TASK
We watched the movie documentary ‘EARTH’ 2007 and present factual information, personal experiences, observations and thoughts on 3 A3 size paper. The content requires your observation, extended research and reflection on the things that you have been documenting and experiencing, and what interests them the most and maybe some life-changing event from the documentary you have watched. Students need to sketch out and describe in detail elements that they personally investigated through the ‘EARTH’ movie documentary.
PROGRESS
Front Cover
First of all, as a group we discuss on what we are going to present. Our first thought was let's spread awareness for an animal that is 'problematic' which meant an endangered animal
Description: If animals could think like humans, they would be disappointed in us
Why did I name the title 'The Last Straw' ?
'The Last Straw' is usually implied as the last chance for someone or something, I related this phrase to all the endangered animals including the ones that get mistaken their food for plastic and the toxic oil spill effecting their respiratory system.
I combined both the dolphin and the animation of waste.
I drew waste, multiple of them and shaped it into that picture of the dolphin.

POSTER 2: Experiencing Nature
The second poster was about choosing a biome from the movie and so I decided to choose the ocean as I was most interested in. First of all, I gathered all the information related to this poster. Next, I decided on the format and then rendered it.

POSTER 3: Appreciating Nature
The last poster talks about your favourite scene, environmental issue and how you feel about the current environment for animals all around the world.
I related the sea life animals being endangered with this poem "The Buck in the Snow" as these sea lifes are all innocent lives and people should be aware and care for the sea life.
I chose this scene from the movie because of how fascinated I was when the shark at a whole seal at once. For me it was just fascinating even though if I saw this in real life I would actually be frightened of a shark.
For environmental issue, I talked about the pollution being down by the human beings and they are a harm to sea life such as oil spillage and littering.
This is a rough sketch of the third poster.
OUTCOME
REFLECTION
LIFELONG LEARNING
Through this assignment, I got to independently learn more about the characteristics of marine life and the animals living in it as I was researching and watching the given movie from the lecturer. I also learned how it is important to take care of our environment on land, air and water. I am able to extract information and utilise it to be applied in my infographic posters. It was fun learning something new as it also reminded me of when I was in school learning about global warming and how it is affecting animals.
INTRAPERSONAL SKILLS
Even though I could be procrastinating sometimes I was able to manage my time and rely on myself for my work to be done with the given due date. I was able to plan out my poster in an orderly manner but surely I could improve more in the poster and I will definitely use this TGC in the future to motivate me to do my work in the future more.
CITIZEN AND GLOBAL PERSPECTIVES
I was aware of the opinions that were given by the lecturers to my friends and me. I used the general and personal feedback given by the lecturer to improve my work. I also asked for feedback directly from a friend in class to help me improve my work. Lastly, having an open-eyed about what is going on with the natural environment around us and being aware about it and caring for it.
