This assignment is a continuation of the first assignment. this assignment is about creating spaces and spatial arrangements. In a group of 6, each member is to make 2 mock-up models of 10cm x 10cm x10cm and apply a design principle. after the mock-ups are done, we are to combine our design principles together to make a hybrid final model with a volume of 6ocm x 60cm x 60cm to explore forms and spaces.

I am in a group with Kenailya, Sara Elisya, Cathy Elle, Blossom and Nur Nazeeha.
As a group, we decided to go with a theme for our models, which is the album cover of the SOUR album by Olivia Rodrigo by interpreting each of the song lyrics into each of our mock-ups.
I was chosen to do UNITY
MOCK-UP 1
This mock-up is based on the song 'Happier'.
The green outline is what I have taken from the first assignment, the elements of different lines meeting at different angles.
This is the inspiration for this model which demonstrates the individual in the song which are their feelings inside and outside.

Created a box with the wires and spray painted it purple.
the yellow object is a floral foam covered in spray paint
I had feedback from my group leader saying the foam should be bigger, so I changed it.

MOCK-UP 2
This mock-up is based on the song 'Hope Ur Ok'.
triangles meeting at one point to create butterfly wings
wings are like 2 hands intertwining to illustrate the 'unity' of a friendship as the writer is protecting her friends- "to the holes in my butterfly wings"
The green outline is what I have taken from the first assignment, is the triangle meeting all at one point (unity)

Decided to add volume to the back of the wings (picture on the left does not have any volume yet) using sticks and paper
Materials used:
- satay sticks
- paper
-3d Pen
Started making the satay sticks in different sizes of triangles and glued them on paper to cover the sticks, did it for both pairs of wings. Combine the wings. I used the 3D pen to symbolise monsters and made them into uneven lengths of sticks. Lastly paste the sticks vertical on the paper

CITIZENSHIP AND GLOBAL PERSPECTIVES
As I had no ideas for my mockup 1, I took the initiative to ask my group leader, Nur Nazeeha, for ideas on how should my mock-up 1 look. She has also given me feedback for me to make better changes to my models. As a group, we were also able to accept opinions on the final model and had huge changes to it.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS

As a member of the group that is doing fully online, I was still able to communicate with my members via discord and WhatsApp and get updates on the final model and our next move as a group in the assignment.

DISCIPLINE SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
I was able to follow the brief and understand the assignment which gives me a glimpse of how the construction industry would look when designing and creating a space together.
