TASK
TASK
PART 1: Select images of interior spaces and building that intrigues you. Identify every point in the images and construct lines by connecting points to create patterns in each image. Identify and analyse the patterns made.
PART 2: Select 2 patterns from part 1 and produce a minimum of 2 3D mock-up models and 1 final model. The image should be at the base with the size of an A5. Identify planes and voids to create space and volume using shape and forms.
PROGRESS
PROGRESS
These are my 6 chosen pictures
MOCK-UP 1
derived from this picture
Inspired by this building, the sharp edge.
structure of mock up 1
This model had me experimenting on lines with different sizes of gaps.
Plan on how to create volume and shade
MOCK-UP 2
derived from this picture
Also inspired by this building which is the sharp edge.
structure of mock up 2
rough idea of how I want my model to look like and my aim is to focus on the volume of the models
after getting feedback from the lecturer, I increased the height of this model
FINAL MODEL
I took designs form both mock-ups for my final model
Plan on how them model will turn out
the making of the skeleton of the model
added more sticks and paper to create volume and design
added strings to create texture
OUTCOME
THE FINAL OUTCOME
OUTCOME
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
CITIZENSHIP AND GLOBAL PERSPECTIVES
The lecturer gave me ideas and feedback on my final model and made my model look better than I expected as sometimes I could get creative blocks during this assignment. I have learned to receive feedbacks as a positive comment for me to improve./
THINKING AND PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS
I was confused during this assignment as I was unfamiliar with some of the things, but I managed to create a model. this assignment gave me ways to make planes, voids and volumes creatively.
DISCIPLINE SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
I was able to follow the brief of the assignment and understand the meaning of volume and planes.
